Fall Retreat 2022
When: November 4-6, 2022
Where: Living Waters Ranch in Challis, ID
Theme: Church of Today
Theme Description: Have you ever heard the phrase that young people are “the church of tomorrow (or the future)”? What if we turned that idea on its head? What would it look like for young people to embrace the reality that they are part of God’s mission through the church today? This weekend will be focused around equipping young people to embrace their God-given gifts, passions, strengths, callings, etc. and to encourage young people to be engaged in God’s mission within their local church contexts.
What to Expect: At Fall Retreat, you will experience the following: 4 worship services will be spread throughout the weekend. All participants will be split into what we call Family Groups that include a mix of teenagers and leaders from multiple churches who will spend time in discussion together in response to the messages. There will be a couple of group games that we will play together with everyone at the retreat. Saturday afternoon will be free time - youth groups can choose to stay on-site at the camp and find things to do or go into Challis or another nearby location to explore and have fun. All 3 meals on Saturday are provided along with breakfast and a sack lunch on Sunday. (Dinner on Friday is on your own. There is a pizza place and a bbq restaurant in Challis, but not much else.) Living Waters Ranch does a great job of providing great options for those who have dietary needs and restrictions. November in Challis can have cold weather - be prepared for cold temperatures and even a little snow.
IMPORTANT! This year, we will be inviting teenagers to not only attend but to actually be involved in leading parts of the retreat! We’re looking for teenagers who are experienced in and desire to play music and lead worship; participants who enjoy reading Scripture aloud and/or leading the retreat in times of prayer; teens who are passionate about group games and would like to be involved in leading and facilitating them; teenagers who find lots of value in group discussion and would like to facilitate family group conversations alongside the adult leaders; and participants who love to serve and be in the background making sure everything comes together and runs smoothly. The registration form will include a section for participants to state what things they would like to be involved in during the retreat.
Registration: Open now until October 21st.

We hope you’ll pray about and consider joining us this year as we explore what it means that young people truly ARE the Church of today. Reach out if you have any questions!
