NYI Convention is held annually and it includes elections of NYI Council members and a few reports.
Churches need to register their NYI delegates by submitting a list of names with contact information (phone number and address) to Debi Hodgerson the NYI Secretary by noon on March 2, 2020. Email her the list to Hodgerson.email@example.com You can call 208-867-4164 (cell) to verify she received your email.
Delegates don't have to pay to attend Main Event if they are only attending NYI Convention. If your delegates are attending Main Event you can select the delegate box when you register them online for Main Event.
Your delegates are required to be members of your local Church of the Nazarene. Please verify their membership.
Each church can bring a set amount of delegates to the NYI Convention. In order to figure out how many delegates you can bring follow the instructions below:
This year we have changed NYI convention by separating it from our worship service. It will be in the College Church Franklin Hall from 6-6:30pm. All non-delegates will be in the College Church Gym for activities with NNU. Our worship service will be from 7:05-8:15pm in the College Church sanctuary.
The number of delegates you can have is determined by the following example:
1) Look in the 2019 Intermountain District Assembly Journal. It is locked and the password is: Intermountain2019 Look on page 99 and locate your church name and look under column 28 (NYI Membership) and this will tell you what your church reported as the number of NYI members. (The members are not necessarily only members of the Church of the Nazarene; they are the number of teens/young adults in your ministry responsibility list.)
